Design a modular inspection fixture
Toronto, Canada · Hybrid · 3 weeks
Develop one modular inspection fixture for three machined housing variants, ready for a first prototype.
Review a single pump-support bracket under three agreed static load cases before we order a prototype.

This is an example brief. Its company, dates, budget, assignment and progress illustrate a project; they do not represent available or commissioned work. Proposals cannot be submitted.
The brief
We have one bracket model and a defined pump mass, centre of gravity and hose-load envelope. We need a linear-static assessment of the current geometry and one modest revision if needed. The report should show boundary conditions, a mesh-sensitivity check and the limitations of the model. Fatigue, vibration, bolt-preload modelling and approval for service are outside this package. A short design-review call is included.
A running start
Review the three cases and confirm which attachment details are simplified.
Run the original geometry, check mesh sensitivity and discuss whether a small change is justified.
Supply the inputs and report with every plot linked to a load case and its assumptions.
To agree before starting
Confirm the deliverables, review checks and response window together so everyone knows what a successful handover looks like.
Record the requested change, its reason and its effect on deliverables, budget and timing. Both parties agree the revised scope in writing before the additional work begins.
